I recently repotted a pothos with a fresh mixture of peat moss, perlite, and soil. I watered it
thoroughly and placed it on a plant stand in the bathroom. Have you ever seen this on your plant?
It’s white mold. Don’t worry, it won’t harm you, but of course we need to get rid of it.
Here are a couple of quick tips for the busy gardener:
- Turn on an oscillating fan to circulate the air
- he fan will help try the plant’s soil
- Gently mix the top layer of soil.
- Mixing the top layer will increase oxygen to the houseplant
You can also spray a little neem oil (mix with water) on the soil to help prevent the spread of the mold. Remember to spray lightly, since the soil is already saturated.
